As she previously mentioned we had a major change in the plans regarding where we would awake today. We left our overnight home in Turkeyville (I love saying we camped in Turkeyville) yesterday headed toward Cleveland, OH instead of LaFayette, IN. This we figured would be about a three hour trip.
Well, you stop at a grocery store to use a restroom (which means you shop "to pick up a few things"), stop at Lowes for a screw (the kind used to fix something) and a storage box, decide to stick to the rural route (much better than the truck-filled turnpike) and have to travel a 20-mile detour when you're just 10 miles from your destination and , voilà, you arrive six hours after departure. But it was a nice ride through some very nice small towns on a portion of famous route 20.
We did, however, get to ride out of one state, through a second and end our trip in a third--Michigan, Indiana, Ohio...check.
We're here, just a little south of Cleveland, to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We'll be leaving in an hour to be there by opening at 10:00. I am excited. Watch for a report on this day of Rock history.
