A Very Sad Day

Palm Spring Oct 2005, originally uploaded by Weber2.

Today is a very sad day. We lost Jeff, a very dear friend of over 25 years, to ALS. We first met Jeff and Char when we moved to LA in 1981 (are we really that old?). Not having children of their own, they soon became surrogate parents to Jess and Brad. All of our happy memories of living in California include these 2 wonderful people. The camping trips, vacations to Maine and let's not forget Scotland.

I have so many great memories....the crazy dinner parties. steak and lobster every New Year's eve, camping on Thanksgiving, the weekends in Palm Springs, the 3 magical vacations in Maine, Scotland (Cadbury chocolates!), sitting around the firepit at their house in Granada Hills, hiking, coming to Brad and Maeve's wedding, Jeff's amazing sense of humor (truly one of the funniest people I know),. The list just goes on and on.

Jeff was one of the most caring and generous people I know. We love you, Jeff - you will be missed.

Char, our hearts go out to you, I wish we could be there to give you a hug.

I remember Jeff and Char from the wedding and how supportive they were of your family. This was sad for me to hear also.
