Moab
We spent Memorial Weekend camping in Moab. This is the first time camping in Moab that we have had such cool (and rainy) weather. This is also the first time that we didn't go into Arches. Who knew there was so many other great things to do.
Trying to set up camp and beat the rain storm just exhausted Rich...
On Saturday, we hiked to Fisher Towers....very dramatic. It was about a 4 hour hike and we finished about 15 minutes ahead of a major rain storm.

On Sunday (beautiful, sunny day), we hiked to Morning Glory Bridge. It was a great day for hiking...sunny, but only in the 70's...perfect weather (until it rained again in the evening.
On our way out of town, we took this very long, high, winding, narrow dirt road to Gemini Bridge.
Gemini Bridge...really cool natural stone bridge which can only be accessed via a very long dirt road.
Gemini Bridge - Rich always tries to freak me out by getting too close to the edge.

It's been a long time since we've experienced so much rain, thunder and lighting. There was even a flash flood in the creek just behind (and below) our campsite. It was a great weekend....even with all the rain.

We used to go camping by Gemini Bridge. Theres a shorter road that takes you there but its pretty rough. The liberty could have done it though.
